Hawaii Shopping

Ala Moana Center | Honolulu, Oahu

With nearly 300 stores, Ala Moana is the world’s largest outdoor mall. Just last year, in Fall 2015, the Honolulu mall added a brand new section with 37 premium retail stores and restaurants, including Hawaii's first Bloomingdale's department store. Other department stores include Neiman Marcus, Macy's, Nordstrom and Shirokiya. There are also several high fashion stores such as Chanel, Miu Miu, Ralph Lauren, Versace, Armani, Tori Richard and many more, as well as local boutiques.

Kahala Mall | Honolulu, Oahu

Here’s for those of you looking for a more exclusive or quiet shopping experience away from the city crowds. This mall is known for its chic, upscale boutiques specializing in women's, men’s and children's apparel and is bound to please the likes of the more demanding shoppers. Oddly enough, you might find stores that sell nothing but slippers, stationery, candy and even home organizers. In between the mall’s tenants you’ll also find a Macy’s, Whole Foods Market and Long Drugs. If you tire from all the shopping, the mall also has an eight-screen movie theater, known for its art-house and indie screenings. For a quick bite, you’ll find Kuru Kuru Sushi, a California Pizza Kitchen, and even Chili's if you’re looking for some mainstream comfort.

The Shops at Wailea | Wailea, Maui

This luxury shopping center offers some of the best shopping on the islands. Its exquisite appeal is in part to its architecture, reminiscent of plantation days and complemented by superb landscaping. The shopping center hosts retailers from jewelry, to artwork and designer clothing. Conveniently, you can find designers like St. John, Gucci and Louis Vuitton as easy as you might run into a Gap, Banana Republic or Chico’s. The Shops at Wailea have it all and if it’s not enough, you’ll also find all kinds of restaurants and specialty shops.

Whaler’s Village | Wailea, Maui

Perhaps one the most activity-oriented Shopping Centers, Whaler’s Village has a beachside location, hula performances, hip restaurants and even a whaling museum for those who aren’t there for the upscale shopping. To top it off, you might often find a resident sand sculptor awing visitors with his work.
