The only place to book connecting hotel rooms and suites. Here's how.

At the end of June we took advantage of the extremely cheap airfares and room rates in Las Vegas. I've been coming to Las Vegas for 25 years for fun, and in the past 7 years professionally as the founder of a website who specializes in the town. I've never taken my kids before, but price had me curious. What really made it make sense was that with less smoking, no bars, and no strip clubs Las Vegas is more family-friendly than ever.

So we booked flights for $49 each way on Southwest. We chose to stay at the Venetian because it's a 5 star resort right in the middle of the strip. But more importantly for us it is an all-suite hotel with so many connecting room options. The kids got their own 2 queen bed suite connected to our 1 king bed suite.

Once we were there relaxing in one of the many pools at the Venetian which watching our children play my wife said:

When you've been cooped up for so long, the joy of being out can be overwhelming

Why now is the best time for families in Las Vegas

  • It's not crowded - You can go anywhere and not have to wait
  • Less smoking -
