Has Vegas Winter Left You Freezing?

While most tend to think of pool parties and bikinis when it comes to daytime in Las Vegas, the truth is that Vegas temperatures are no treat in the winter. Especially with the unusually cold weather in the west and the flu hitting the United States this winter, it’s best to find some things to do in the Las Vegas winter that won’t put you out in the cold.

While everyone always hypes up the Vegas nightlife, there’s no reason why a Las Vegas vacation shouldn’t be a blast 24 hours per day. Here are some fun daytime things to do in Las Vegas this winter.

Bellagio Botanical Conservatory

For an escape from the chilly Las Vegas weather, visit the Conservatory & Botanical Gardens at the Bellagio. In the nippy Vegas winter months, you’ll truly be able to appreciate the beautiful arrangement of flowers, plants, architecture and design, without catching a chill. Go enjoy the live music performances from the Victorian Gazebo from 5PM to 6PM in the South Garden and the 2013 Chinese New Year exhibit on display until March 2, 2012. The conservatory is open 24 hours, but is usually best during off hours as it can get pretty busy.

Spa Treatment

After hitting the Las Vegas shows and Vegas nightlife, a pick me up may be in order. If you’re looking for things to do in Las Vegas during the day, Many Las Vegas hotels offer spa treatments that will leave you feeling rejuvenated and ready to take on the rest of your trip to Vegas. While these treatments can often times be expensive, many Las Vegas hotels offer special promotions and Las Vegas promo codes that can get you discounts on Las Vegas hotel stays and spa packages.

The Mirage Aquarium

While you may be in the desert, you don’t have to miss the ocean if you visit this Las Vegas attraction. The Aquarium at the Mirage has a 20,000-gallon saltwater tank behind the front desk. Located in the lobby of the Las Vegas Mirage hotel, the aquarium features 60 species with over 1,000 coral reef animals. Not only is this a fun daytime attraction in Las Vegas, it’s also free!

Caesars Palace Las Vegas Forum Shops

Browsing the Las Vegas Forum Shops at Caesars Palace is a favorite thing to do in Las Vegas among adults and kids alike. Take a break from browsing the stores and you can enjoy the 7 minute “Fall of Atlantis” free Las Vegas show. Watching the diver hand feed the sea creatures in the aquarium and the 1:15pm and 5:15pm and the daily Volcano eruption show are always popular for the kids too!
