The Maritime Hotel is easy to spot as you approach, thanks to its perfect columns of porthole-shaped windows which hint at the theme found inside. Occupying the former headquarters of the National Maritime Union and designed to resemble a vintage luxury ocean liner, this boutique hotel welcomes you with a lobby filled with nautical artwork, shelves of books, and plenty of cozy sitting areas. Visit the Michelin starred La Sirena restaurant in the lobby for Italian cuisine created by Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich, or enjoy tapas and cocktails at the La Sirena barroom. For a completely different vibe, head underground to TAO Downtown, a Pan-Asian restaurant with a lounge, sushi bar, and nightclub that feature stunning decor including a large reclining Buddha, grand staircase, and koi pond.
