Anchorage is both the largest cultural hub in Alaska and the ultimate wilderness destination. There are beautiful national parks nearby, with enormous mountains and glaciers. Even within the city, Anchorage has trails and parks for you to explore, including the Coastal Trail and Kincaid Park.
