Getting Around Washington D.C.

The Washington Metro, the area’s subway system, offers safe and reliable transportation to the most popular attractions in Washington, DC. It is a great way to maneuver the city and it even has service to the nearby suburbs of Virginia and Maryland. Take note that the Metro may be crowded at peak times such as rush hour or during popular downtown events, so plan accordingly.  It is a great alternative to taxis and is much more convenient than trying to find a place to park a car.
