How to Honeymoon in Las Vegas

The only place to book connecting hotel rooms and suites. Here's how.

Las Vegas Honeymoon

Vegas can be cool, wild, sexy—and utterly romantic. For proof, look at the recent photo of actress Sophie Turner and pop star Joe Jonas lounging on the back of a pink Cadillac after just getting married by an Elvis Presley impersonator at the Little White Chapel on the Strip. Home to some of the most extraordinary hotels, restaurants, and sights to behold, Vegas treats newlyweds to the best of all worlds within a four mile radius (plus plenty of fun stuff to do off-Strip as well). We’ve gathered the most idyllic spots in Vegas to celebrate the beginning of the rest of your lives.

BOOK AHEAD

Between conventions, special events, and holidays, Vegas gets booked up quickly and early. To maximize your options and minimize the cost, you’ll want to plan at least three months in advance.

Pro tip: If you got married on a weekend, which most couples do, that’s great timing for your honeymoon in Vegas. Suites are generally lower priced between Sunday and Thursday.

CHOOSE THE PERFECT HONEYMOON SUITE

With thousands of gorgeous suites in Las Vegas, you’ll have plenty of options, but as this is your honeymoon, you’ll want to feel like royalty! The perfect suite will give you and your spouse space to relax and reflect on the incredible journey that brought you to this moment.

There’s a secluded feeling to the Wynn Las Vegas and Encore at Wynn Las Vegas and its north-Strip location that lends itself to sweet whispers and canoodling. Even the buffet is luxe and classy. Surround yourself with Italian marble in the Wynn Tower Suite Parlor, a suite so massive it has a foyer, and sip champagne in its whirlpool tub. The more modern and equally elegant Encore Tower Suite Parlor has its own massage room, so you can have the spa come to you.

Enjoy two of Las Vegas's most famous icons, the Fountains of Bellagio and Paris’ Eiffel Tower, without ever leaving your hotel room at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas’ Wraparound Fountain View Terrace Suite. Kick off the night by opening a bottle of bubbly from the sub-zero wine chiller and toasting on the balcony as you watch the Bellagio’s fountains soar and dance, then head downstairs to the Cosmopolitan’s old-school supper club Rose. Rabbit. Lie. where an only-in-Vegas mix of entertainers perform in its 10 rooms.

Order room service from one of the best restaurants in the world at the Nobu Hotel at Caesars Palace, a boutique hotel from celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa and partner Robert DeNiro. Soak up the tranquil vibes of the Hakone Suite, inspired by Japan’s Fuji-Hakone National Park, where a large bathtub and Toto toilet await. Nobu’s signature black cod miso and almost any sushi or sashimi you desire can be ordered to your suite 24-hours a day or head to the restaurant where you’ll have priority reservations. Ask our agents about special Nobu perks exclusive to Suiteness, including complimentary club passes, drinks, and a dessert platter at Nobu.

Retreat from gaming and smoking at Vdara, an all-suite boutique hotel that has some of the most incredible views in Vegas. Gaze at the entire Las Vegas valley from the deep soaking tub in Vdara’s One Bedroom Loft, an open and airy layout decorated in lush purples and grays. Whip up an intimate dinner for two in the fully-equipped kitchen and revel in the fact that you don’t have to clean up.

People say the secret to a happy marriage lies in his and hers bathrooms, a theory you can put to the test in the chic Bellagio Suite, which has a split couples’ baths—one with a steam shower and the other with a whirlpool tub (there’s also a powder room off the living room). This suite’s automatic drape and sheer controls make it easy to never get out of bed again, but you still may want to carve out some time to eat French food surrounded by original Picasso paintings at the Bellagio’s two Michelin star restaurant Picasso.

Pro tip: Have champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries waiting for you when you arrive to your hotel suite. Our agents will help you pre-arrange it with the hotel.

POSE WITH LOVE

Express your devotion with a photo under the LOVE sculpture in the Waterfall Atrium between the Venetian Resort Hotel & Casino and Palazzo Resort Hotel & Casino. The sculpture’s 12-feet-tall, ruby red letters that spell L-O-V-E will steal your heart—and provide an excellent photo to send friends and family back home.

Pro tip: There are more romantic adventures to be had at the Venetian Resort Hotel & Casino. Take a gondola ride along the Grand Canal under the moon and stars as gondoliers croon Neapolitan love songs and kiss under the Bridge of Sighs (a replica of the famed bridge in Venice, Italy), which according to legend guarantees you eternal love.

PEOPLE WATCH POOLSIDE

Just cause you’re married doesn’t mean you can’t delight in a Las Vegas pool scene. There’s a hilarious cast of usual suspects for you and your spouse to observe, from the dude flexing his muscles in the sun to the woman walking in high heels dangerously close to the pool. Laugh and recall your crazy single days as you cuddle in a cabana and tell each other you’re so happy to have found your partner in crime. Whether you’re looking for a chill pool experience or insane club-like pool party, we’ve got the 10 best Vegas pools to check out this season (usually March through October, but some are open year round).

Pro tip: Caesars Palace's Garden of the Gods has air-conditioned poolside cabanas with services from Qua Baths & Spa such as Swedish and deep tissue massages.

GO ON AN ART CRAWL

Most people think of New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles as great art cities, but Vegas boasts some of the coolest contemporary art in the country. You just have to know where to look. Head to the Louis Vuitton store at the Shops at Crystals, an upscale mall on the Strip, to find James Turrell’s immersive light installation Akhob. Turrell inspired Drake’s “Hotline Bling” video and walking into one of his art pieces feels like an out-of-body experience—or at the very least, a dope music video. Akhob is free, but you must reserve a spot ahead of time by calling (702) 730-3150 and only six people are permitted at each viewing. We recommend calling six to eight weeks in advance to reserve as spots fill up fast. Continue the art adventure with Bliss Dance, a 40-foot-tall sculpture of a dancing woman at MGM Las Vegas’ the Park, and Seven Magic Mountains, an installation of day-glow painted rocks stacked into towers in the middle-of-nowhere desert. For more, check out our list of the best Vegas art to photograph and be photographed with.

Pro tip: Enhance your art appreciation with a stop at a recreational cannabis dispensary—there is one on the Strip—where you can buy everything from flowers to tinctures to ganja beer.

HAVE A SPA DAY

Treat yourself and your spouse to a day of pampering at one of Vegas’ premiere spas. With decor that recalls exotic Moroccan, the Spa at Encore features couples’ spa packages such as the Good Luck Couples Ritual, which combines massage, foot treatment, hand therapy, and botanical scalp massage in the Chinese tradition. The Qua Baths & Spa at Caesars Palace offers ornate Roman baths, three treatment rooms reserved just for couples, and an arctic ice room where you can relax under a blanket of falling snow. Don’t miss the Spa at ARIA’s Shio salt room, which is like being inside a himalayan salt lamp. The salt-infused air improves upper respiratory breathing and illuminates your skin. The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas' couples massage and facial package includes chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne.

Pro tip: All of the above spas with the exception of the Spa at Four Seasons offer day passes, which allow you to take advantage of all the spa amenities without buying a treatment. Some day passes are exclusively for hotel guests and prices vary from weekday to weekend, but usually fall in the $50-100 range.
