The only place to book connecting hotel rooms and suites. Here's how.

Anchorage is both the largest cultural hub in Alaska and the ultimate wilderness destination. There are beautiful national parks nearby, with enormous mountains and glaciers. Explore streams that were once the sites for gold panning. You'll likely spot some wildlife during your travels- some moose, or even a bear. Anchorage is the best place to begin exploring Alaska. In fact, Chugach National Forest and Chugach National Park are just a short drive away from downtown Anchorage. There, you can try all sorts of outdoors activities, including hiking, camping, skiing, rafting, biking, and ATVing. Even within the city, Anchorage has trails and parks for you to explore, including the Coastal Trail and Kincaid Park. Learn more about the rich history of indigenous Alaskan people at the Alaska Native Heritage Center, or head over to the Anchorage Museum to learn about history and the arts in Anchorage. You might want to purchase some native art, or try dog-sledding if you're feeling adventurous. Don't forget to see the Northern Lights before you go!
